World Duty Free was founded here in the UK by BAA to run tax and duty free operations in all its airports, and today remains one of the UK’s leading travel retailers, featuring over 17,000 products at stores across the UK, including Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Southampton.


The company works in close partnership with airport operators, brand partners and a global supply chain to create outstanding airport and travel retail environments designed to meet their customers needs; something vital when reaching up to 500 million passengers every year.


The company has a strong track record of addressing the challenge of climate change and to date have;

  • Worked with airport partners on environmental issues & engaging in joint programmes to address them.
  • Worked with supplier partners to reduce the amount of excess packaging entering our waste streams.
  • Ensured over 95% of waste materials generated in-store & back of house in the UK is sent for recycling.
  • Become certified to ISO14001 in a number of locations.
